Displaced East Coaster

I am a Northeasterner who relocated to Chicago in 2009. In the fall, I took a short "self-discovery" trip, which was the inspiration for the blog. Next, I worked as a law clerk. Finally, in August 2010, I started a job with the state doing civil rights work. I plan to continue to blog, especially about my love of the northeast, my new love of Chicago and the things I see on my daily travels. Elevator safety

Every morning I see this sign before I get into the elevator and I
hope that I make it to my floor! I understand that one of the
elevators frequently gets stuck and that sometimes all of the
elevators are out of service. Fortunately, I don't think I've ever
been in a car with more than 3 people. I'd like to keep it that way!
