Displaced East Coaster

I am a Northeasterner who relocated to Chicago in 2009. In the fall, I took a short "self-discovery" trip, which was the inspiration for the blog. Next, I worked as a law clerk. Finally, in August 2010, I started a job with the state doing civil rights work. I plan to continue to blog, especially about my love of the northeast, my new love of Chicago and the things I see on my daily travels. I'm firking serious

My favorite pub when I studied in London - the Flintlock and Firkin.
Then I went to three Firkins in Paris (and got a special tee - plus
they spoke English and served beer other than 1664). Then, a Firkin in
Alice Springs, Australia. Now, a Firkin right here in Chicago!!
