Displaced East Coaster

I am a Northeasterner who relocated to Chicago in 2009. In the fall, I took a short "self-discovery" trip, which was the inspiration for the blog. Next, I worked as a law clerk. Finally, in August 2010, I started a job with the state doing civil rights work. I plan to continue to blog, especially about my love of the northeast, my new love of Chicago and the things I see on my daily travels. I'm a king!

I saw this cute little children's tent at the book sale and it
reminded me of two things: (1) a cover for our card table that my
mother made for me when I was young that I placed over the table to
play house - it had windows and a door - very cool; and (2) a tent
that Elizabethan royals would use for a meal whilst on progress. I
love me those Tudors!
