Don't Mess with City Hall

This is a picture of City Hall in Philadelphia. On top is a statue of William Penn. This was the view from my office when I lived and worked in Philly. I would give Philly a point for this because the building is much cooler looking than the Daley Center, but the Daley Center has two things going for it: (1) the Daley Center is air conditioned (City Hall has window units); and (2) the view from the top of the Daley Center is amazing - the lake and the skyline. I think this comes out a wash. No points, even after discounting Philly for that giant clothespin.

  1. City Hall in Philly is in the middle of the intersection of the two busiest streets. Old cities are the best.

  2. The Daley Center is not City Hall. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_City_Hall

  3. The comparison was not between two city halls but between two buildings that contain state courts for their respective city. City Hall in Philly has the civil trial courts for Philadelphia County and the Daley Center has a number of civil courts, although I don't know if it has all of the civil courts.

  4. @ Anonymous. The post makes no reference to state courts or their location within the buildings referenced. Therefore, a reader of this blog has good reason to assume that the author is comparing two city halls. Given that you know the reason for comparing these buildings, I'm guessing you're really just Displaced in disguise. Or you have ESP.
