Ommegang Brewery. Although it was started with a minority investment
from Duvel, the Belgian brewer, Duvel recently purchased a majority
interest and took over the brewery. This building, modeled after a
traditional Belgian brewery, was built in 1996 and they started
brewing in 1997. The 1549 date on the archway is the date that Duvel
started brewing in Belgium.
Having just toured the Budweiser brewery in St. Louis, I would say
that this tour was far more informative and enjoyable. And I actually
had the free beer samples instead of Pepsi (like I did at the Bud tour).
